So recently i have been struggling with feeling lonely and with my ongoing struggle with anxiety it has felt like the worst uphill run. I felt like i had no friends around to talk to and was struggling to find the right words to say to God in prayer. Now after a few days i came to realise that its ok to feel like this. Everyone has bad days and everyone struggles. This is a good thing to remember when feeling down.

I started to just spend some quiet time with God listening to my favourite worship songs and just letting the holy spirit move through me. I then knew what to ask God for help with in prayer.

‘Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.’ – Romans 12:12.   I found this verse and felt Gods presence around me. I knew that he was always there and it was my heart stopping me from feeling him there. God will never leave you nor forsake you. He has your best interest at the for front of his mind. This is such a comforting thing to know.

Loneliness can happen at any given point in our lives but can often feel heightened when you have exams or friends have exams, when friends maybe move away or you move schools. A new chapter in your life can feel daunting and can often leave you feeling alone and out of your depth.

Its important to make and effort to see friends and family and to also ask God to guide you through the lonely times.

If you are struggling to find the words to pray, pray this –

Father God, thank you for sending us your son to save us. Thank you for forgiving our sins and loving us unconditionally. We look to you know for peace and guidance in our lives. We trust you. Pleas help us to remember that you are with us at all times. Amen.

Stay beautiful girlies,

Annie x
